We provide treatments for all ages, from early orthodontic treatment to adult. With a wide range of treatments from braces to Invisalign, we can cater to your specific needs and age with ease!
Our Types of Treatment
Braces aren’t what they used to be! The new techniques and appliances we use greatly reduce discomfort levels, decrease the frequency of visits, shorten treatment time and may allow you to choose from several options. Your options may include metal braces, clear braces, transparent aligners, or possibly even a retainer that straightens your teeth.
Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners custom made for you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every one to two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life.
Phase I: Early Orthodontic Treatment for Children
Early treatment (also known as Phase One) typically begins around ages 7-9 years. The goal of early treatment is to correct the growth of the jaw and certain bite problems, such as an underbite or overbite. Early treatment also helps to make room for permanent teeth to come in properly, lessening the chance of extractions in the future.
Phase 2: Comprehensive Adolescent Treatment
Comprehensive orthodontic treatment often takes place between the ages of 11 and 15 years old, when we get most or all of our permanent teeth in. This is the treatment that we typically think of when we think of the braces experience, and the one where all the teeth are fully aligned and the bite is corrected. Nowadays, many patients still choose metal or clear braces, but sometimes, clear aligners like Invisalign are an option, too!
Orthodontic treatment is not just for kids anymore!
Tooth alignment can be changed at any age if your gums and bone structure are healthy. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups – including adults. A new smile can begin today. Orthodontic treatment at later stages in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem. Improving the health of your teeth and gums is equally important. Crooked teeth and a bad bite can contribute to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, abnormal wear of the tooth enamel and surfaces, headaches and jaw joint (TMJ/TMD) pain.
At your initial visit, we will provide a complimentary insurance benefit check to help determine your orthodontic coverage. Once we have determined your coverage and treatment has started, we will file your claim. Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
Also, please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit. If your benefits change during the course of treatment, please inform our staff as quickly as possible with the new insurance information. This is to help ensure you will not have a loss of benefit or lack of payment.
